Ladakh: Indian Navy Motorcycle Expedition Team reaches World's Second Coldest Inhabited Place, Drass in Kargil

In Ladakh, as part of the Indian Navy's "Julley Ladakh" (Hello Ladakh), Campaign, an outreach programme to increase awareness about Indian Navy, the Motorcycle Expedition Team reached the World's Second Coldest Inhabited Place, Drass in the Kargil district.<br />'' <br />''The Team led by Commander Tony Thomas conducted awareness drives at Government Higher Secondary School, Drass about the career opportunities that Indian Navy offers including the Agnipath Scheme.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Commander Tony Thomas, Lt Commander Lehar Singhal and others addressed the students and motivated the Youth to join the Indian Navy. With the inclusion of Women Officers and spouses, the speakers also described the Expedition as a showcase of Nari Shakti, an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A total of 35 Indian Navy personnel, including Officers, sailors, and family members are participating in this Motorcycle Expedition covering about 5000 kms, traversing through remote areas and tough terrains of Ladakh. They also paid homage to the brave hearts at the Kargil War Memorial at Drass.</span><br />
