Ladakh Higher Education Dept & consortium of IIT Delhi, Bombay and Kanpur sign EoI in Leh

<span style="color: #000000;">Ladakh Higher Education Department (DoHE) and the consortium of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, Bombay and Kanpur have signed an Expression of Interest (EoI), in Leh in the presence of Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur. AIR correspondent reports, the milestone achievement will be a stepping stone in strengthening the technical education scenario in Ladakh. Professor Ramgopal Rao, Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri and Professor Abhay Karandikar , the Directors of IIT Delhi, Bombay and Kanpur respectively held meetings with all the stakeholders in Leh and Kargil districts to assess the UT's requirements. The aim and vision of this historic step is to strengthen the technical education in Ladakh. The partnership shall focus on providing innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities focused on Ladakh's ecosystem, skill development for enhancing employability, quality of education for increasing higher education opportunities and setting up of a quality engineering institution in Ladakh.<br />''<br />''The IITs have agreed to provide mentorship and corridor participation in achieving these ambitions.
