<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, Government Model Middle School (GMS) in Biathang Shilikchey celebrated the Annual Day to celebrate Children's Day.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On this occasion Executive Councillor (EC) for Education, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, LAHDC, Kargil Zakir Hussain was the Chief Guest and Executive Councillor for Tourism, Kacho Mohd Feroz was the Guest of Honour.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On the occasion, students of the School presented various cultural activities including a colourful musical programme, folk Dance, a skit depicting the importance of education and sports events which enthralled the audience and won appreciation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">EC Education Zakir Hussain appreciating the efforts of the people of Biathang and the Members of the GMS Biathang said that the revolution in the education system in Kargil came from Schools like GMS Biathang which drastically changed the scenario of education in government Run Schools and LAHDC has followed the path of Biathang School to make more Model Schools on PPP Mode.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that GMS progressed from 5 students and two teachers in 2016 to more than 175 students and full team of teachers with 3 additional teachers. This is the change which other government schools in the country should follow.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is pertinent to mention here that GMS Biathang Shilikchey is one of the top Government Schools in North India, and the school is run under the PP Mode owned by the Villagers supported by the Government.</span><br />
