The Union Territory of Ladakh is gearing up for the ensuing tourism season. In view of the danger of coronavirus infection the Union Territory authorities are taking all precautions before opening up tourism, academic and economic activities. AIR correspondent reports that as the ZojiLa route is opening in a couple of days, Ladakh is preparing for the season.<br />” <br />” The State task force meeting has announced new SOPs for the tourists to follow, to have a smooth vacation in moonland Ladakh. RT-PCR report is a must for the tourists to enter in Ladakh by Air or by Road.<br />” <br />” Tourists must carry negative RT-PCR report not older than 96 hours on their arrival in Ladakh. In absence of the report, tourists must follow the State quarantine rules. UT Tourism and Health Secretary, Commissioner Rigzin Samphel said,<br />” <br />” On the other hand, the Leh district administration has decided to reopen the schools in a phased manner from the 1st of March. Schools for 10 to 12 classes are to reopen in the first phase. After a series of meetings with the stakeholders, the Leh Hill Council and the District Administration have decided to shift from the online to offline – school-based learning. <br />” <br />” The schools are reopening exactly after one year. Leh Education department has to prepare a framework for the phase-wise reopening of schools for the rest of the classes. <br />” <br />” Village-level Education Committees are involved for the smooth reopening of schools in the villages.<br />” <br />” Similarly, to keep the strict monitoring of inbound laborers and their health and welfare, Leh administration has made their registration with any registered labour organization, a must. <br />” <br />
