In connection with the Lok-Sabha Elections 2024, District Election Officer, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, Shrikant Suse flagged off the EVM Demonstration Vans (EDVs) for all tehsils of Kargil excluding Zanskar at DC Office Kargil, Ladakh.<br />'' <br />''Deputy District Election Officer, Dr. Khanzada Mohd Usman, NT Election, Zakir Hussain and other officials of DC Office and District Election Cell Kargil were present on the occasion.<br />'' <br />''The EDVs were provided with adequate IEC material like banners, audio systems to run election-related jingles to sensitize the general public throughout the district.<br />'' <br />''It was informed that the EDVs will visit every Polling Station in the district during February to demonstrate the use and functioning of EVMs to the general public. The exercise is aimed to impart on-spot awareness about the EVMs to the voters so that they participate freely in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Meanwhile, one set of EVM/VVPAT each for EVM Demonstration Centers was distributed among all the Tehsildars excluding Zanskar.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">A similar exercise was also conducted in Tehsil Zanskar where SDM, Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk, flagged off the EDV from the SDM Office.</span><br />
