<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, COVID-19 Nodal Officer for the Union Territory, Shantmanu along with a team of senior doctors from Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare visited Kargil to take stock of the measures being taken up by the administration to contain the novel Coronavirus in the district.<br />''<br />''During their two-day visit, they reviewed patient care facilities at the dedicated COVID-19 Hospital at Kurbathang,especially in view of the approaching winter season.<br />''<br />''The team appreciated the health-care measures being taken at the Hospital for patients and also gave their valuable suggestions towards patient management, infection control and prevention besides other related aspects.<br />''<br />''Shantmanu along with the team of doctors also convened a meeting with the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan and other concerned officers on the status of COVID control measures in the district.<br />''<br />''During the meeting, the team was informed that efforts are being made by the Administration towards better patient care and efficient COVID-19 mitigation measures including effective awareness through a continued mass level campaign.<br />''<br />''The administration is also ensuring the active participation of community heads, religious scholars and prominent citizens to use their influence and approach in their respective areas and prepare common masses to follow and adhere to all SOPs and other guidelines to contain the transmission of the deadly virus.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the team of doctors on Wednesday visited Containment zones at Baroo and Drass. The team also inspected Patient Care Wards, Covid Care Centers, Sample Collection Centers and other centres to assess the facilities being extended to the inmates there.</span><br />
