Indian Oil Corporation Limited, IOCL, has sponsored a total of Eight Thousand jackets under its Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, programme.<br />''<br />''Speaking to the media, Lt.Gen Rajeev Chaudhry said, BRO is playing a key role in keeping the country's strategic locations connected. He said, in the process, the organisation has also become part of economic upliftment of people unconnected so far.<br />''<br />''He said, in Ladakh region, the BRO is going to construct world's highest tunnel at Shinkunla. He informed, that last year construction work worth about five thousand crore rupees was awarded by the Union Territory administration in Ladakh. He also said that another four thousand crore rupees work is in pipeline this year from Ladakh administration.<br />''<br />''Lt.Gen Rajeev Chaudhry said, the BRO is also adopting new technologies invented for this region for durability and less maintenance.&nbsp; He also said that all labourers are enrolled in the government's E-Shram portal for insurance and DBT facilities.<br />''<br />''In jacket distribution programme Project Himank Chief Engineer Brigadier Gaurav S Karki, Project Vijayak Chief Engineer Brig Ashish Gambhir and other senior officials were also present.
