<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, Union Territory Administration has sanctioned one crore each to Leh and Kargil Hill councils to bear the expenses of evacuation of stranded people of the region. In a joint press conference with the UT Administration, Leh Hill Council Chief Executive Councillor and Chairman Gyal P Wangyal said, that hill councils will bear the transport, stay and food expenses during the evacuation of the stranded people.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After strong protest by the Leh Hill Council with Ladakh Lieutenant Governor yesterday over the matter of expenses of evacuation, the UT Administration issued orders of sanction of one crore rupees each to both hill councils in Leh and Kargil. Mr. Wangyal said all three point resolution by the Hill council is accepted by the UT Administration, including airlifting of stranded patients and elderly people of Ladakh.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">UT Commissioner-Secretary Rigzin Samphel said, welfare and evacuation of every stranded Ladakhi is the responsibility of UT Administration. He assured that the hill councils will be funded sufficiently for evacuation of stranded Ladakhis. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, Mr.Rigzin Samphel clarified that the Standard Operating Procedures is an evolving document depending on the contemporary situation, cannot be changed according to needs. He said, keeping the overall safety of Ladakh society, the passengers will be brought in a calibrated manner.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
