Union Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh has said that lack of a strong local leadership led to BJP's loss in Bihar polls. He also attributed the party's defeat to the tie-up between Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and Lalu Prasad's RJD. The Minister was speaking on the sidelines of a programme in Jind district of Haryana.<br/><br/>On veteran BJP leaders holding Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for the loss, Birender Singh said, Mr. Modi is still the tallest leader and the largest vote-catcher of the party.<br/><br/>Earlier, addressing the programme at Danoda village, the Minister said government is planning to build a super-highway from Delhi to Katra via Rohtak, Jind and Ludhiana. He said the highway would lead Jind towards industrial development.
