The government is considering a National Policy for Domestic Workers, informed Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge the Lok Sabha today. He said the Task Force on Domestic Workers has recommended the formulation of the proposed policy. Mr. Kharge said the proposed policy will lay down certain minimum working conditions for domestic workers which cannot be compromised with. The policy may eventually lead to a specific legislative mechanism to safeguard the domestic workers, he said.
