Labour Minister inaugurates multispeciality hospital in Bangalore

Union Labour Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge inaugurated 150th ESIC hospital in Bangalore on Monday. Built over five acre land at a cost of 116 crore rupees, this multispeciality hospital has 100 beds and equipped with latest medical facilities. Around 90 lakh family members of industrial workers will benefit from the hospital. Speaking during the inaugural ceremony Kharge said his ministry has sanctioned 4000 crore rupees to the State of Karnataka under different schemes.Speaking about Rashtriya Swasthya Beema Yojana, the minister said that World Bank has appreciated this programme and asked other developing nations to emulate India. He also said that Labour ministry has tied up with US labour ministry to extend cooperation in skill development, occupational hazard prevention, mining health and safety and youth employment. Mr. Kharge said higher budgetary allocation will be made for skill development and other schemes,during the 12th five year plan. .
