The Labour and Employment Ministry has said that an expert group on fixation of Minimum Wages and National Floor Wages will submit its recommendations to the government at the earliest.

The Central Government has constituted an expert group under the Chairmanship of Professor Ajit Mishra. This expert group will provide technical inputs and recommendations on the fixation of Minimum Wages and National Floor Wages.  

The tenure of the Expert Group is three years. The first meeting of this Group was held on the  14th of this month and the second meeting is scheduled for the 29th of this month.
