L K Advani asks newly elected BJP MPs to remain in touch with party workers in their constituencies

Senior BJP leader L K Advani today asked the newly elected party MPs to constantly remain in touch with party workers in their constituencies to build a strong relationship with them.

In his valedictory address at the workshop of party's newly elected MPs in Surajkund, Haryana, Mr. Advani appealed them to refrain from arrogance and start work from today to bring BJP to power in next general elections in 2019 also.

He said the party MPs have a new responsibility to perform inside and outside parliament as the Congress does not even have adequate MPs to have its recognized Leader of Opposition.

Talking to reporters at the end of the two day workshop, party leader and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, Mr. Advani appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for party's landslide victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls as well as the work done by the NDA government in the last one month.

In his address, BJP patriarch also asked the MPs to talk about new government's vision, policies and plans instead of highlighting the failures of UPA government.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, party leader Ram Naik and RSS pointperson with BJP Suresh Soni also addressed the function.
