India's L Devendro Singh entered the semi-finals of the Ulaanbaatar Cup boxing tournament in the Mangolian capital on Thursday. Devendro Singh, who is Commonwealth Games silver-medalist, defeated Russia's Dimitrii Yusopov to make the last four stage of the tournament. This is Devendro Singh's first international medal of the year in 52 kilogram category as he had jumped to the flyweight category late last year. `On Friday, five-time world champion M C Mary Kom will open her campaign in the 51 kilogram category after getting a bye into the quarterfinals. Her opponent will be the winner of the bout between Russia's Anna Aedma and Korea's Chol Mi Bang.In the men's draw, Mohamed Hussamuddin . K Shyam Kumar, Ankush Dahiya and Duryodhan Singh will take on their rivals in different weight categories on Friday.Among women, Priyanka Chaudhary and Kalawanti will take on their opponents on Friday. Both the Indians won their respective quarterfinal bouts on Wednesday.
