Kyrgyzstan heading for coalition government

Kyrgyzstan is heading for a coalition government. The nationalists are holding a narrow lead in legislative polls held under a new constitution after unrest this year that left hundreds dead. The country braced for coalition bartering between five main parties following highly competitive elections. Kyrgyzstan President Roza Otunbayeva hailed the elections as a landmark moment in the history of the ex-Soviet state. Earlier he steadfastly refused to push back the poll despite warnings that it could spark fresh violence.
