The Kuwaiti Parliament has unanimously approved the Monetary Union agreement of the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) and referred it to the government.<br/><br/>According to Kuwait’s official news agency KUNA, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah said that this agreement will reflect the solidarity and commitment of Kuwait and other GCC countries to joint effort. He said that full adoption of a single GCC currency might take around 10 years.<br/>The approval of the parliament has come just a week before when Kuwait gears up to host the GCC summit next week.<br/>
