Kush Kumar won first gold for India today at the 2nd Asian Youth Games being held in Nanjing, China. In the finals, Kush defeated Malaysia's Mohammed Shafique Mohammed Kamal in men's singles Squash 11-9, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7. In Table Tennis, teenager Abhishek Yadav ensured India of a bronze medal after he lost to the top-seeded Chinese Zhendong Fan 2-4 in the semifinals today. With no play-off, both the losing semi-finalists are eligible for award of bronze medals. Yadav has also been assured of a place in the next year's Youth Olympics to be held in Nanjing, China. With this, India has so far won four medals at the Youth Games. Earlier, M.Kavita Devi won a bronze in Judo and T. Chalchanhima won a bronze in boy's wrestling.
