In Tamil Nadu, the anti-Kundankulam Nuclear Power Project protestors called off their nine day long indefinite fast on Tuesday evening, following talks with the Tirunelveli district administration.Mr S.P.Udaykumar, convener of the group spearheading the protests told newsmen that the decision to suspend the fast was made only after they were given assurances that their demands would be considered. Representatives of the protestors during talks with the administration had made 7 demands including revocation of prohibitory orders clamped in Radhapuram Taluk and withdrawal of cases registered against those involved in the agitation.
