Kumbh 2019: Authorities discuss security arrangements with Akhara Parishad

<span style="color: #222222;">In Uttar Pradesh,  a high-level meeting of Kumbh Mela executives and Akhara Parishad – an apex body of Akharas on security was held today at Mela campus at Prayagraj for smooth passage of coming to Basant Panchami bathing festival on 10th February. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It was decided in meeting that Akharas will follow the time frame allotted to them for bathing and resolve issues with mutual understanding. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Big and heavy vehicles in the cavalcade of Akharas during Royal Bathing will be restricted. While going for bathing, followers accompanying Akharas will have to have identity cards or other recognition for security reasons. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Akhara Parishad said they are happy with security arrangements. The meeting was attended by top executives including commissioner Prayagraj division Dr Ashish Kumar Goyal, ADG police  SN Sabat, Kumbh Mela executive Vijay Kiran Anand, DIG Kumbh KP Singh and representatives of all thirteen Akharas in the presence of Akhara Parishad Adhyaksh Mahant Narendra Giri Ji Maharaj.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Our correspondent reports that three main bathing including one  Royal bathing on 10th February on  Basant Panchami is left in 49 days Kumbh festival ending on March 4th. As of now, more than 13 crore devotees have taken the holy dip at Kumbh.</span><br />''
