Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Shelja has offered the Sikkim Government and other state Governments assistance in reconstruction and re-building of the damaged houses and public infrastructure after the earth quake. The official release said the ministries of housing will aslo take up construction of economically weaker section houses for the affected families out of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund. The Minister has also offered low interest HUDCO loan assistance to the State Governments for re-construction of public assets and other infrastructure damaged by the earth quake.
