The Janatha Dal (secular) State President H D Kumaraswamy has accused BJP ruled Government in Karnataka of irregularities in the construction of Raitha Samparka Kendras. He alleged that the Government handed over the project worth Rupees 25 crore to sole bidder who quoted 24 percent more than the estimate. He also alleged that the contractor was released more than 50 percent of the contract amount even before the work could commence. Briefing the media persons in Bangalore today, Kumaraswamy said that he is ready to hold debate with the Chief Minister on usage of public money by this Government. Reacting to the allegation that Deve Gowda and his sons have misplaced many files pertaining to their tenure in power, Kumaraswamy invited Chief Minister to lead a team of investigators to raid their houses in search of missing files. He disclosed that he will launch a mass movement in the State against corruption and to mobilize public opinion towards his party. This, he said will begin from Manjunatheswara Temple of Dharmasthala . He defended himself by saying that the series of allegations made against the BJP government by him neither have any ulterior motive nor are done due to political vendetta.
