In Idinthakarai, a 42 year old protester who fell down and got injured while protesting died in Nagercoil private hospital today. Police sources said that he fell down because of high BP and got admitted yesterday afternoon. For the second day today protesters in Idinthakarai and parts of Thoothukudi stood in sea water in protest against the decision to load enriched uranium into the nuclear reactor of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. As soon as the news of the death of a protester came, the sea water protest was suspended. Meanwhile Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha had a meeting regarding the situation in and around Koodankulam with top officials including Home secretary and DGP at Chennai today.
