K’tka HC to hear Yeddy’s anticipatory bail plea today

In Karnataka, former Chief Minister, B.S. Yeddyurappa's anticipatory bail plea will come up for hearing in the High Court today. Out of 5 cases against Yeddyurappa, the Lokayukta Special Court had pronounced judicial custody for him in two of these cases. In an appeal against this verdict, Yeddyurappa was granted bail on Tuesday and was released last evening. The Lokayukta court is yet to begin hearing in the remaining 3 cases.It is in this context that Yeddyurappa has sought anticipatory bail in the High Court. Yeddyurappa is facing charges that during his tenure as Chief Minister he had denotified Bangalore Development Authority land in return for favour to companies run by his sons and son in law.
