Karnataka BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel has welcomed the Central relief of 1200 crore rupees as first instalment from the national disaster relief fund. <br />'' <br />'' Addressing the media persons in Bengaluru today, he said, this is for the first time in the state that compensation of five lakh rupees is being paid to those whose houses were damaged in the flood. <br />'' <br />'' He also informed that for the first time ever in the state a sum of 100 crore rupees is already deposited directly in the bank accounts of four lakh rain and flood-ravaged people.  <br />'' <br />'' He added that 350 acres of government land will be given to those who lost their agriculture land in the floods.  <br />'' <br />'' Former Chief Minister and Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has however criticised the state BJP Government for not getting sufficient funds from the Central Government. <br />'' <br />'' Touring the rain and flood-hit areas of Mangaluru today, he told media persons that the Central government should have released at least five thousand crore rupees as a relief to the people hard hit by the natural calamity in the state.<br />''
