<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Medical Education minister Dr.K Sudhakar has warned of criminal action against private hospitals refusing treatment to COVID patients. Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru today, he asked public to call phone number 1912 to lodge complaint against such private hospitals.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Medical education minister informed in the press conference today that private hospitals have promised to provide 2724 beds in their hospitals in Bengaluru to treat covid patients. He also warned them against charging higher rate for sample testing than that prescribed by the Government. Asking public not to panic, he said there are around six lakh 74 thousand positive cases in India and 60.67 percent among them are cured of the infection. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka the mortality rate due to corona is just 1.46 percent. Hence he pointed out that no one must be alarmed. The minister has assured that he will pay surprise visits to Government hospitals where COVID patients are treated and see for himself the treatment and food qualities provided there.</span><br />''
