Dr. S A Patil, the Chairman of Karnataka Krishi Mission informed that 1000 villages are being adopted in the state to introduce integrated farming. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore today, he disclosed that 50 crore rupees have been earmarked for the project. Integrated farming ensures steady income to the farmers and helps avoid dependency on one crop or occupation. A few modals have been prepared by Universities to take up integrated farming.
