Karnataka High Court will continue the hearing today on External Affairs Minister SM Krishna's petition seeking quashing of the private complaint in the Lokayuktha court.In the complaint he is accused of facilitating illegal mining during his tenure as Chief Minister.Justice N Ananda had adjourned the hearing on sixth last week, after the complainant sought time to file objections.S M Krishna had filed the petition on December 9 in the High Court, seeking quashing of the FIR filed by Lok Ayukta police and a stay on the proceedings before the Lok Ayukta court, contending no offence had been made out against him in the complaint.Lokayukta Police have registered an FIR against him and two other former chief ministers N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy, besides 11 officials in this case.The FIR was filed against Krishna under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, Forest Conservation Act, Forest Act and Minerals and Metals Regulation and Development Act, following the December 3 directive by Lok Ayukta Judge NK Sudhindra Rao on a private complaint. The Lok Ayukta Special Court granted time till February 2 to Lokayukta police to submit its probe report on the complaint.
