Karnataka High Court has taken up hearing on External Affairs Minister S M Krishna's petition seeking quashing of the private complaint in the Lokayuktha court.In the complaint he is accused of facilitating illegal mining during his tenure as Chief Minister.Senior counsel Uday Lalit appearing for Mr. Krishna made submissions today in defence of his client which will resume after lunch break. Krishna had filed the petition on December 9 in the High Court, seeking quashing of the FIR filed by Lok Ayukta police and a stay on the proceedings before the Lok Ayukta court, contending no offence had been made out against him in the complaint.Lokayukta Police has registered an FIR against him and two other former chief ministers N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy, besides 11 officials in this case.
