In Karnataka, Law and Parliamentary Affairs minister T B Jayachandra has said that Cabinet meeting will decide on the release of Cauvery water to Tamilnadu. Speaking to media persons after the all party meeting in Bengaluru today, he said opinion expressed by the Opposition party leaders, farmers, legal experts and others will be discussed in the Cabinet that will meet a short while from now.<br/><br/>Opposition parties BJP and JD(S) have asked Government to honour the decision of legislature and wait till tomorrow's meeting called by Union Water Resources Minister Uma Barati. The state Legislature had decided last Friday that Cauvery river water should be released only for meeting the drinking water needs of the state, which the Supreme Court refused to consider during its hearing yesterday. The apex court asked Karnataka yesterday to release 6000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamilnadu for three days till 30th of this month.
