The higher education department in Karnataka has come to the rescue of northeast students those who have missed out internal examination and counselling to those who left the state. The department is thinking to hold re-examination and re-counselling for the northeast students who have left to their native places due to fear of attack on them in Karnataka.There are altogether 4000 students from Northeast studying in different colleges in Karnataka. The State Higher Education Minister said that a re-examination would be held for Northeast students if needed. The Minister has also issued order to College managements to provide hostel facilities to the northeast students studying in their colleges.
