The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr.R.Ashoka, who is holding Home portfolio said today that those who were threatening people from North East region are identified and will be apprehended soon. He was speaking to the media persons after holding a meeting with the members of business establishments, Associations and Hotels. He urged the business establishments hiring employees from north east to call their parents back home and assure them that sufficient protection is provided in the state. They were asked to accomodate them in the work area till the fear subsides. Meanwhile six complaints were lodged by North East people saying that they were threatened to go back.The Government has decided to hold flag march in sensitive areas from today evening. Six companies of Rapid Action Force are reaching Bangalore to hold the flag march. The Assam Ministers for Transport and Agriculture who have reached Bangalore, held discussion with the Home Minister. Mr.Ahoka informed that the they will meet the North East people to persuade them to stay back. The Members of Muslim community and North East have resolved to work together to overcome fear. In a joint Press Conference of both the communities, the members decided to celebrate ID together. They demanded that the Government should apprehend the culprits spreading verbal threats at an earliest, to instill confidence in people.
