In Karnataka, the senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has tendered his resignation from the post of leader of the opposition in the legislative Assembly. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore today, Siddaramaiah said that the party did not consult him while selecting candidates for the Council election. He said, his resignation has been forwarded to the AICC President Ms Sonia Gandhi and KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar. When asked whether he will reconsider his decision to resign as Opposition leader, Siddaramaiah said that he has already asked the party to forward his resignation letter to the Assembly Speaker
