The Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa has arrived in New Delhi after he was summoned by the party high command in the wake of land allotment scam in the state. Mr. Yeddyurappa who is to meet the party President Nitin Gadkari in the national capital may be asked to quit. Mr. Gadkari has been authorised by the party to take a final decision on the leadership issue in Karnataka. The BJP high command held three rounds of talks to thrash out the issue. Initially, the Karnataka Chief Minister struck a defiant note saying he has the support of 120 MLAs. But before leaving for Delhi, he sounded a reconciliatory note. Meanwhile, the top BJP leaders are holding discussions to ensure that the first BJP government in South India has no threat in case of leadership change. Our correspondent adds that the central leadership of the BJP is looking for the right candidate to replace Yeddyurappa keeping in view the delicate caste combination in the southern state.
