K'taka: BJP shortlists candidates for Lok Sabha seats

<div><div style="display: inline; border-style: none;"><br />''</div></div>The Karnataka state BJP core committee has shortlisted candidates for all the 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The meeting held in Bengaluru headed by state party President B S Yeddyurappa shortlisted the candidates in the presence of national General Secretary P Muralidhar Rao, South India in charge General Secretary B L Santosh and others.  The shortlisted names will be submitted to the BJP Central Election Committee for a final decision. <br />''<br />''<br />''Briefing media after the meeting, BJP MLA Arvind Limbavali said that the committee has kept its option open for the Mandya seat as the party is awaiting the decision of Sumalatha, wife of cine star and politician late Ambarish. He further informed that the shortlisted names will be discussed with BJP President Amit Shah tonight or tomorrow morning. Later the Central Election Committee will finalise the names and announce the final list. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AICC President Rahul Gandhi will be campaigning in Karnataka tomorrow. In the morning, he will address a public rally in Kalburgi, which is represented by Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge in Lok Sabha. The same day in the evening, Mr Gandhi will interact with IT professionals and representatives from start-ups in Bengaluru.</span><br />
