Krishna to leave for Seoul on three-day visit on Thursday

Civil Nuclear Co-operation, enhancing trade ties and strengthening of defence co-operation between India and South Korea will be high on the agenda of discussions. <br/><br/>The discussions will take place in the 7th India-South Korea Joint Commission meeting to be held at Seoul on Friday. <br/><br/>The External Affairs Minister, Mr. SM Krishna is leaving on a three-day visit to Seoul on Thursday. He will hold extensive discussions with his South Korean counterpart on civil nuclear co-operation besides achieving the trade target of 30 billion US dollars by 2014. The target was set during the South Korean President's visit to India in January this year. <br/><br/>During his talks with the Defence minister, the focus will be on co-operation between the two Navies to effectively counter the threat posed by growing piracy around the Horn of Africa. He will also call on the South Korean president and address the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security there.
