On the last leg of his tour to Sri Lanka, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna is scheduled to visit the southern coastal city of Galle today.
He will inaugurate the newly constructed second phase of the high speed coastal railway line from Galle to Hikkaduwa, which is being built with Indian assistance.
India has extended a credit line of 800 million USD for all the reconstruction of railway lines both in North and South of Sri Lanka. The entire project is slated to be complete by 2013.
