External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna today stressed on the need for India and Bangladesh to have good cooperation in the fight against terrorism. Delivering a lecture at the Bangladesh Institute of Strategic Studies, Mr.Krishna said the two countries faced new challenges and non-traditional security threat due to the rise of religious fundamentalism, extremism and terrorism. He said that it is imperative for the two countries to join hands to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestation to ensure stability, development, peace and prosperity in both the countries. Earlier in the morning, Mr.Krishna inaugurated the newly built Kalabhavan complex of Dhaka University with financial assistance from India. Later, Mr.Krishna held discussions with the Leader of the Opposition and BNP leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
