External Affairs minister S M Krishna said in Bangalore today that all the apprehensions of employees union working for Passport offices are addressed by his ministry and they are now set for imparting training to them to adopt to the digital system. He was speaking after inaugurating the new Passport Seva Kendra in Bangalore. He informed that around 57 lakh applicants received now for passport is likely to go up to one crore by 2011. To meet such a demand for passports, 77 passport seva kendras will be opened all over the country with private participation. Reacting to a question on the plight of tamil refugees in Srilanka, the Minister replied that out of 2,lakh 80,000 refugees in camps, 1,lakh 80,000 have gone back to their homes. The refugees have been given freedom to move around and Government of India is considering more support for their rehabilitation. <br/><br/>
