External Affairs Minister Mr.S M Krishna today said that he is awaiting a report from the Indian Ambassador in UAE on the incident of killing of an Indian fisherman. He was speaking to the media persons in Bangalore today after casting his vote in the Presidential election. Mr.Krishna said that he will take a decision on the issue only after receiving the report.
The US ship had fired at Indian fishermen off the Dubai coast last monday, killing one and injuring three of them. The Minister said that the Government can come to a conclusion only after seeing the report which he said is on its way. Speaking about bilateral ties with China, the foreign minister ruled out any possibilities of hostilities with china.
He said both sides attended conference in Japan recently, which was cordial. Mr.Krishna welcomed the decision of holding Indo-pak cricket match and said this will further cement the bilateral relationship between the two countries. He informed that he will be visiting Islamabad in the second week of September.
