This year's Krishi Unnati Mela will begin at Pusa in New Delhi from tomorrow. Briefing media in New Delhi today, Director General of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, ICAR, Dr Trilochan Mohapatra said, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will inaugurate the event. <br/><br/>He said, there will be 350 stalls in the mela this year and different animal species, fisheries, horticulture, farm machineries will be demonstrated. He added that there will be a demonstration on usage of solar power in agriculture. <br/><br/>Dr Mohapatra said, interactive sessions on strategies to double the income of farmers and other Government schemes will also be held during the three day event. He informed that farmers will sell their product through cashless transactions during the mela. <br/><br/>The DG said, innovative farmers meet will be held in the mela and a felicitation programme has been planned for farmers and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Expressing happiness, Dr Mohapatra said, this year the country is going to have record 272 million tonnes of food grains.<br/><br/>
