World no. one Chinese Cheng Long defeated Indian shuttler Ajay Jayaram 21-14, 21-13 in the final to win the Korea Open Badminton tournament at Seoul today. For Cheng, it is the sixth trophy of the season. Ranked 32nd in the world, Jayaram had defeated sixth placed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark and seventh seed Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei on his way to the Final. Earlier, Jayaram had reached the semi-finals of Malaysia Masters Grand Prix, Swiss Open Grand Prix and Russian Open Grand Prix this season.
