The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has decided to release a white paper on outbreak of Dengu in the city on Tuesday. Giving this information in Kolkata on Sunday, the member Mayor in Council for Health of the Municipality Atin Ghosh said that the white paper will provide all necessary information on the spread of Dengu and steps being taken to contain it. The Minister of State for Health Chandrima Bhattacharjee has said that three persons were died of Dengu in the state so far.Special Blood testing Centres have opened at various places under Kolkata Municipal Corporation areas. According to Health Department's sources over 1,100 people have been tested positive to Dengu in the city. Unofficial sources say that the victims of the disease are much more high than the health department's statistics. Doctors say that a general awareness needs to be built up among people to prevent the disease. The Health Department has issued advisories to all government hospitals, private nursing homes and municipalities to deal with the situation on war footing as a number of affected persons by Dengu are increasing. Spraying of mosquito repellents have been intensified in the affected areas. Outbreak of Dengu was reported from few other districts also.
