Kolkata Test: Sri Lanka 165/4 at stumps against India's 172

Sri Lanka reached 165 for four at stumps after bundling out India for 172 on the third day of the opening Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. Lahiru Thirimanne made 51, while Angelo Mathews contributed 52 runs. At the draw of stumps, Dinesh Chandimal, 13 and Niroshan Dickwella, 14 were at the crease. Sri Lanka now trails by seven runs.Earlier, India were all out for 172 in their first innings. The hosts had resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 74 for 5. Cheteshwar Pujara stood tall amidst the top order ruins. He made 52. Wridhhiman Saha, 29, Md. Shami 24 and Ravinder Jadeja 22 were the other notable contributors to the Indian total. Almost two days of play was lost due to rains and wet out field.
