Kolkata Test: India 155/7 in second innings, trailing by 52 runs

On the fourth day of the third cricket test at Kolkata, hosts India 155 for 7 in the second innings against England in the post-tea session, when reports last came in. With Zaheer Khan and R. Ashwin at the crease, India still trail by 52 runs. After bowling out England in the opening session for 523, the hosts got off to a decent start as they were 86 for no loss in the second innings at lunch. But after the resumption of play, India lost their first wicket in the form of opener Virender Sehwag, who was caught behind for 49. Sehwag's wicket led to the Indian collapse and the home side slid from 86 for no loss to 145 for 6 at tea. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was caught for 5, while Skipper MS Dhoni was out for duck. Earlier in the morning, England were all out for 523, after resuming their first innings play at the overnight score of 509 for 6. Skipper Alistair Cook, with 190 runs, was the highest scorer for England. For India, Pragyan Ojha claimed 4 wickets while R. Ashwin bagged 3. This 4-match series between India and England is currently tied at 1-1. India had won the first test at Ahmedabad by 9 wickets, while England came back strongly in the second test at Mumbai with a 10-wicket victory.
