The Kolkata Municipal Corporation today presented revised budget estimate for the year 2010-2011. The city Mayor Mr. Sovan Chatterjee placed the revised budget at the meeting of the Corporation this afternoon. The revised budget includes separate funds of 12 crore rupees for Disaster Management and 5 crore rupees for Minority Welfare programmes. Besides, hike of councilor’s area development fund to 7 lakh rupees annually. However, the main income and expenditure of the budget which was placed by the earlier CPI(M) ruled board have remained unchanged.
