In Kolkata, metro rail services have been severely affected due to derailment of three bogies of a train this morning. According to official sources, the incident occurred at busy office time around 9.30 in the morning near Central Metro Station. A Garia bound train from Dum Dum suddenly derailed at the underground, while it was entering central station. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that the passengers got panicky and they were de-trained with the help of a ladder after putting off electrical connections on the rail track. There is no report of any injury or casualty. Fire brigade, Kolkata police and RPF jawans have rushed to the spot. Efforts are on to repair the rail track. Metro rail authority has ordered an enquiry into the incident.
