Kolkata ATP event: Somdev enters singles semis

Somdev Devvarman has entered the Men's singles semi-finals of the 50,000 US Dollar ATP Challenger Tour tennis tournament.In the quarter-final at Kolkata on Thursday, he defeated Adrian Menendez-Maceiras of Spain in three sets 4-6 6-1 6-3. India's Number one tennis player will now face Russia's Evgeny Donskoy in the semifinal tomorrow. In another quarter-final fixture, Kazakh Aleksandr Nedovyesov thrashed David Guez of France 6-1 6-3 to set a semifinal date with Serbian Ilija Bozoljac, who defeated David Guez of France 6-1 6-3. In the men's doubles, wild cards Saketh Myneni-Sanam Singh and Divij Sharan-Vishnu Vardhan won their respective semifinal matches to make it an all-Indian final tomorrow.
