In Jharkhand, the Jailed MP and former Chief Minister Madhu Koda has been denied bail once again in two different cases by two different courts in Ranchi today. Mr. Koda did not appear in any of the hearing as his sick petitions were presented in both the courts. In the first case, a special ED court extended the judicial remand of Mr. Koda for 14 days in case relating to money laundering. The judicial custody of other accused- Vinod Sinha, Arvind Vyas and Manoj Punamia, were also extended for 14 days. In another matter relating to the alleged bungling in Rajeev Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme, a special court of Vigilance extended the judicial remand of Madhu Koda along with other accused- Vinod Sinha, for 14 more days. Our correspondent reports, the next date of hearing for both the cases is on 4th July 2011.
