Koda discharged, IT department to question him

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who has been discharged from a Ranchi hospital, will be questioned by the Income Tax Department in the 2,000 crore rupee money laundering case. IT sources said, officials from the department will question Koda at his residence. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been informed about the IT department's move to question Koda. They would be closely following the questioning. Sources in the ED, however, refused to say whether Koda will be arrested, but acknowledged the IT department's communication.<br/> <br/>ED has served fresh summons to Koda asking him to appear for questioning in Delhi on Wednesday. Koda and several of his associates are facing charges of money laundering and illegal investments to the tune of over 2,000 crore rupees. Vikas Sinha, brother of Koda's close aide Vinod Sinha is now under a ten-day custody of the ED.<br/> <br/>Koda was discharged from a private hospital this morning where he was admitted on the third of this month.<br/>
