Kochi Smart City Pavillion work starts

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy says first phase of the Kochi Smart City Project will be completed within two years. Addressing a function to mark the beginning of work on the pavillion of the Smart City project in Kochi this morning, he said the first phase will be taken up soon after work on the pavilion is completed within 14 weeks. He said the road show of the project and its marketing will start immediately. The Kochi Smart City is an IT infrastructure project jointly promoted by the Kerala Government and Dubai based Tecom Investments. The entire project envisages a total investment of 2000 crore rupees, and is expected to generate 90,000 jobs.
